The aim is to support innovative work with an interdisciplinary or translational focus that promotes cross-departmental and cross-clinic collaboration at the C3NMH.
Application requirements
The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for a C3NMH Early Career Research Award 2025:
- Clinical and scientific staff at MedUni Vienna affiliated with one of the eight clinics/departments of the C3NMH – not yet habilitated or in an IKV (internal career agreement)
- The awards are given for original work that has not been published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal before 2024.
- The work should have an interdisciplinary or translational focus in the field of mental and brain health and should preferably have been produced in cooperation with at least two organizational units of the C3NMH.
- Only one submission per applicant is permitted.

Funding amount
1st prize is €1,500
2nd prize is €1,000
3rd prize is endowed with €500
The prize money will be awarded as a non-cash benefit (e.g., conference attendance) for research at C3NMH.
Submission deadline: November 1, 2025

- The prizes will be awarded at the C3NMH Scientific Symposium on December 4, 2025, where the winners will have the opportunity to present their research in a short lecture.
