In March 2024, a study by Dr. König-Castillo (lead author, Division of Social Psychiatry) was published. It deals with the suicide rate among patients after discharge from an inpatient facility.
It is well known that the suicide rate among these patients is elevated. However, findings regarding risk factors for suicide within this patient group are contradictory. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate suicide after discharge from a large psychiatric institution and to identify the associated risk factors.
