Doctoral programs

Based on our vision of placing patients with neurological and mental illnesses at the center of interdisciplinary collaboration, we at C³NMH strive to continuously optimize and develop modern interdisciplinary concepts for undergraduate/graduate clinical and scientific national/international teaching and training.

The C³NMH offers three 3-year doctoral programs (PhD programs) that enable medical and non-medical professionals to pursue an academic career and obtain professorship at MedUni Vienna. For all three programs, the C³NMH is increasingly developing integrative teaching content.

The Clinical Neurosciences CLINS PhD program was established for the clinical neuroscience disciplines under the coordination of the Clinical Department of Neuropathology and Neurochemistry. CLINS now attracts students and teachers from more than ten organizational units in the clinical and theoretical areas of MedUni Vienna.

The Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine doctoral program is part of the doctoral program in Applied Medical Science at MedUni Vienna. The program is designed to prepare students for a career that combines psychosocial and biomedical research with clinical practice in the fields of mental health and psychiatry.

The aim of the PhD Program in Neuroscience is to train students to doctoral level and prepare them for an exciting scientific career in neuroscience in academia and/or industry using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. This program is coordinated by the Center for Brain Research at MedUni Vienna.
